Halloween

Both the Johnstown campus and the Indiana campus celebrated Halloween in style with parties on October 28th that included plenty of food, games and fun!

The Johnstown campus had a costume contest and awarded a 1st place to Dale Houck & Elizabeth Beideman (50's/Pin-up), a 2nd place to Linda Combs (witch), and 3rd place to Michael Shull (Lou Tice). Fun was had by all!

The Indiana campus started the week with students bringing in decorated pumpkins. Prizes were awarded on Thursday for the scariest, funniest, and most original pumpkin. Students came dressed for the party and prizes were awarded for the scariest (Alicia Firestone - witch), funniest - (Beth Burnett - Bingo Grammie), and most original (Tabitha McCracken - Pens Fan). During the luncheon students raised $375.00 for the American Diabetes Association.

Dana Sullivan - Future Employee of the Month - November 2010

The Johnstown Campus of Cambria-Rowe Business College sponsors a Future Employee of the Month Award each month to honor a student. The winner receives a reserved parking spot in the lower lot for the month of November and a free lunch provided by the CRBC Cafe. Faculty and staff nominate and choose the award winner based on criteria compiled not only by faculty and staff, BUT by actual employers. The November 2010 winner of the Future Employee of the Month Award at the Johnstown Campus is Dana Sullivan. Dana is currently has a 4.0 GPA and has a 97.7% attendance rate. Congratulations Dana!

Victor Cessna - Future Employee of the Month - October 2010

The Indiana campus of Cambria-Rowe Business College sponsors a Future Employee of the Month Award each month to honor a student. The award winner is featured on a bulletin board and receives a designated parking space for the entire month. Faculty and staff nominate and choose the award winner based on criteria compiled not only by faculty and staff, but by ACTUAL employers. The characteristics employers cites as being most important are:

Vic is an Accounting major and will graduate in November 2010. After graduation he plans on obtaining a job where he can utilize the skills that he has learned at CRBC. He has an overall GPA attendance rate of 99.3%. Vic is a member of the Ambassador Club, helping out with various activities for CRBC and assisting new students in becoming familiar with CRBC. Congrats Vic!

CRBC - Stands Against Bullying

CRBC Faculty, Staff, and Students took a stand against bullying and showed their support by wearing purple on Wednesday, October 20th!!

Pink Day - Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. Students at the Johnstown and Indiana campus of CRBC have been busy selling breast cancer awareness pens with the CRBC logo on them to raise funds and even had a Pink Day to get the word out about prevention.

Purple Day - Epilepsy Awareness

The Johnstown Campus recently held a Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness. Almost 3 million people in the United States have some form of epilepsy. Each year about 200,000 new cases of seizure disorders and epilepsy are diagnosed each year. About 10 percent of the American population will experience a seizure at sometime in their lifetime.
