A two-year Associate in Specialized Business (ASB) Accounting Degree will thoroughly develop the skills necessary to launch your career in financial accounting. Financial & accounting jobs are found everywhere in business. Today's Administrative Assistant is responsible for decision-making, expediting the flow of information, and supervising multiple projects. In addition, a thorough understanding of word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software is essential for working in today's modern office. Well-qualified Administrative Assistants continue to be in great demand.
Many small businesses today demand versatile office employees who can perform a variety of tasks. The Business Administration degree was designed to meet this need. This program is a combination of accounting, business management, and computer training that produces a diversified graduate who can pursue many different career paths. Our business school furnishes professionals who are able to work independently or as part of a team.
Graduates of this program will be able to troubleshoot problems and provide technical assistance, support, and advice on hardware, software, and systems. They will be able to install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware and software and oversee the daily performance of computer systems and networks. You can focus on one specific area, such as secretarial, transcription, coding, or choose a position that requires them all.
A variety of careers can be obtained with a Medical Office Administration degree including hospital jobs, medical office jobs, positions in pharmaceutical companies or a geriatric care facility.
You will learn high ethical conduct in patient care and records management. Courses emphasize medical document processing, coding and billing, transcription, communication skills and the computer technology required in the medical field.
This track is intended to allow those students with the interest to develop their skills as a transcriptionist in preparation to work in a medical office, hospital job, or a company specializing in medical transcription.
